Adam worked as a "waitron" at Ferry Beach in the summer of 2002 and the summer of 2003. Ferry Beach is a beautiful Unitarian Universalist retreat and conference center by the sea in Saco, Maine. Adam had a lot of fun his two summers there and made some very special friends at this sacred place.
In addition to hanging out with his friends, listening to music, singing and playing guitar, one of Adam's favorite things to do at Ferry Beach was to "shoot hoops" at the somewhat dilapidated basketball court. His family and friends thought that renovating the court in his memory would be a wonderful way to honor Adam.
Donations in Adam's honor have enabled Ferry Beach to repair and update its basketball (also used for tennis) court, now the "Adam F. Jasheway Memorial Court."
